Reports gives one metric its own chart card, and it’s the only page that compares a range against the period before it.

Create a card

1

Open Reports

Reports sits under Analytics.
2

Start a report

Select new report. The New report sheet opens.
3

Name it

Type a Title. An empty title saves as Untitled report.
4

Pick a metric

Select Metric. One card holds one metric.
5

Pick a chart type

Select Line, Area, or Bar.
6

Save

Select create report.
A new workspace starts with two cards: Visitors as a line, Pageviews as an area.
Cards save to this browser, per workspace, not to your account. Clearing browser storage deletes every card, and your teammates never see your board.

Manage the board

For a breakdown by referrer, campaign, page, location, or device, use Overview.

Compare with the previous period

Turn on vs prev period in the header. It is off by default. The comparison uses the period immediately before your range, so last 7d compares against the 7 days before it.

Which metrics exist

Metrics group by platform. Datalyr always appears. Every other group appears only while that source is connected. Every event name your SDK sends also appears as its own metric. Within a group, metrics sort into four sections: Standard, Conversion, SaaS & Mobile, and Profitability.

Date ranges

Ranges use the workspace timezone.

Verify

  1. Create a card for Visitors.
  2. Set the range to last 7d.
  3. Turn on vs prev period.
  4. Confirm the footer shows current, prev, and a percentage.

When it does not work

Next, open Events to explain a spike, or Different numbers when a card disagrees with an ad platform.
