# Agent ads

> Let Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Codex create and manage ads in your own Meta, TikTok and Google Ads accounts through DATALYR: paused first, turned on only within your spend limits.

Your AI agent connects to DATALYR and works in your own ad accounts. It uploads your
files, builds campaigns, ad sets and ads, shows you a preview, and creates everything
**paused**. Money starts in one step only: turning things on, inside limits the workspace
owner sets.

## What agents can do

Agents work in the ad account you selected for each platform in **Sources**.

## How it stays safe

| Safeguard | What it does |
| - | - |
| Created paused | Every campaign, ad set and ad starts paused. Nothing spends until something turns it on. |
| Preview, then yes | Every change is a preview first. The agent shows you the summary, and acts only after your yes. See [How agents publish](/agent-ads/how-publishing-works). |
| Access levels | Each agent connection is Read-only, Propose, Create paused or Publish live. See [Access levels and approvals](/agent-ads/access-and-approvals). |
| Approvals | When a connection can't act on its own, your yes becomes an approval link for an owner or admin. |
| Live ads switch | Agents turn ads on only in ad accounts where the owner switched live ads on. Off by default. |
| Spend limits | Three daily limits in your reporting currency. Anything above them goes to the owner. See [Turn ads on within spend limits](/agent-ads/live-ads-and-spend-limits). |
| Only what agents made | Archive and delete touch only objects agents created through DATALYR. |
| Stop | One button pauses everything agents turned on. See [Stop agent ads and alerts](/agent-ads/stop-and-alerts). |
| Rejected-ads pause | Three rejected ads in 24 hours on one ad account stops agents there until someone turns it back on. |
| Emails and activity log | Owners and admins get an email every time an agent starts spend. Every action is in **Settings → Ad publishing → Activity**. |
